Exam Access Arrangements
I am a qualified Exam Access Arrangements Assessor based in Ruislip, Hillingdon and provide thorough assessment services across London and available for nationwide travel.
I understand the challenges access arrangements pose for SENDCos and am dedicated to offering ongoing support beyond the assessment process. I also recognise that tight financial constraints and the need for a quick turnaround add further pressure on SENDCos and schools.
That’s why I ensure my services are cost-effective and that assessments are conducted efficiently, delivering prompt and reliable results to support your students without unnecessary delays.
The cost of one days EAA assessments includes:
Virtual meeting with the SENDCo (or equivalent) to discuss assessments
The cost of all assessment materials and assessor time
Completion of the assessor section of Form 8 (Part 2)*
A copy of Assessor qualifications for JCQ inspection records
A follow-up meeting with the SENDCo (or equivalent)*
* Provided within 24 hours of assessments for efficiency.
Pricing
Assessment costs:
I assess 6–8 students per day** at the following rates (excluding transport costs):

1–6 days: £385 per day

7–10 days: £370 per day

11+ days: £340 per day
** The number of students assessed per day will depend on the specific assessments required for each individual, as identified during the initial consultation and agreed upon with the SENDCo.
Transport costs:

Within 15 miles of Hillingdon - £12

Within 50 miles of Hillingdon - £20

50 to 100 miles of Hillingdon - Cost of petrol at HMRC rate or cost of rail fare (whichever is cheapest)

Over 100 miles of Hillingdon - Negotiationable price based on cost of petrol at HMRC rate or cost of rail fare (whichever is cheapest) and if overnight stays are required, reasonable accommodation costs.
Additional services cost:
If the SENDCo requires a full Assessor Report for an individual student to support further referrals, this will be available at a cost of £50 per report.

The Spelling, Processing, and Reading Comprehension Speed (SPaRCS) test is a quick and effective screening tool used to assess students’ literacy and processing skills. Measuring:

Spelling – accuracy and speed of written spelling

Processing Speed – ability to quickly process and respond to information

Reading Comprehension Speed – how efficiently a student reads and understands text
SPaRCS generates standardised scores that support the identification of students who may be eligible for Exam Access Arrangements, such as extra time, a reader, or a scribe, providing essential evidence in accordance with JCQ regulations.
The Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing (CTOPP-2)
The Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing (CTOPP-2) is a standardised assessment designed to measure key phonological processing skills, measuring:

Phoneme awareness – recognising and manipulating sounds in words

Rapid naming – speed of naming familiar objects, numbers, or letters

Phonological memory – recalling and processing sound-based information
CTOPP-2 provides standardised scores that help identify students with difficulties in phonological processing, which can affect reading and spelling. The test results offer essential evidence for Exam Access Arrangements, such as extra time or a reader, in accordance with JCQ regulations.
Test of Memory and Learning Second Edition (TOMAL-2)
The Test of Memory and Learning – Second Edition (TOMAL-2) is a standardised assessment that evaluates a student’s memory abilities across a range of tasks. Measuring:

Verbal and Non-Verbal Memory – ability to recall spoken and visual information

Working Memory – capacity to hold and manipulate information in real time

Attention and Concentration – focus and retention skills
TOMAL-2 provides standardised scores that help identify memory difficulties impacting learning and exam performance. The results offer crucial evidence for Exam Access Arrangements, such as extra time, rest breaks, or a prompter, in line with JCQ regulations.
Detailed Assessment Speed of Handwriting (DASH)
The Detailed Assessment of Speed of Handwriting (DASH) is a standardised assessment that evaluates a student’s handwriting speed and legibility under timed conditions. Measuring:
